Music for the Tempest-Tost: A Tribute to Emma Lazarus

Knickerbocker Chamber Orchestra with soloist Marin Mazzie (Kiss Me, Kate and Ragtime)

The Knickerbocker Chamber Orchestra performs the world premiere of music director Gary S. Fagin's "Cantata for Huddled Masses,” an original setting of Lazarus’ "The New Colossus” for orchestra and soprano. The program includes a selection of pieces that influenced Lazarus or were inspired by her writing, from Schumann’s “Waldszenen” to Copeland’s “Letter from Home.”
